Admit it, when your firstborn was brand new, you lost sleep, you put off your shower or shaving your legs just "one more day", your hair and make up products went the way of your pre-pregnancy clothes, forever lost in the chasms of your closet, and you stopped making real, wholesome meals for yourself.
Ah yes, the dreaded "fourth trimester" when a woman goes through all of the rocky emotions of transitioning into an entirely different role as Mother. Many of us practically suffered an identity crisis as we figured out where the heck our old selves fit into this new, confusing picture. Don't get me wrong here. Becoming a mother has given me the greatest joy that I have ever experienced within my lifetime. But let's be honest, it's all too easy to become completely focused on the baby, when our own bodies and spirits need love and attention, too. Mommies, let me ask you this: How is it possible for you to continually fill others' cups unless you fill your own first?
