Great Travel Websites You Must Check Out!

1. Bestfares.com

To book through the site, you have to be a paying member, but I use it just to get an idea of what the lowest fares are & then I can go to the airlines sites & find them. You can check if traveling on different days will effect the price, or if a different airport will make a difference (ie there are at least 4 good options when flying to NYC) One downfall is it doesn't include taxes in the price.

2. Kayak.com

I've heard about this one for a few years, but just recently started using it. I like it because it's pretty accurate & usually includes the taxes too. Plus it not only uses airline sites, but also sites like Orbitz & cheaptickets.com.

3. Trip Advisor

I love tripadvisor.com when researching out hotels. They generally show you a typical rack rate, but once you find a hotel you are interested in through reading reviews & popularity, etc, you can always find a cheaper rate via the hotel directly or a discount site. The main purpose, for me, to use tripadvisor, is to read the hotel reviews. Once I've narrowed down my choices, I can go on the search for prices. (Can you tell I research out all the details of a trip?!...but then it leaves lots of room for spontaneity once I'm there!)
