Cranberry Sauce

Cranberry sauce is a wonderful addition to your turkey dinner. It really brings out the flavor of your roasted turkey!

Ingredients:

1 cup sugar
1 cup water
1 package (12 ounce) fresh or frozen cranberries

Directions:

Place water and sugar into a medium sauce pan and put on high. Stirring constantly with whisk, bring to a boil. Add cranberries, and bring to a boil once again. Reduce heat and gently boil for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Remove from heat.

Before cooling, place a mesh strainer over your mixing bowl. Pour the contents of the saucepan into the strainer. Mash down the cranberries with the back of a spoon, scraping the sides of the strainer frequently, until the mesh strainer is empty. Stir the contents of the bowl one last time.

Pour into a serving dish and allow to cool at room temperature.

Makes about 2 cups.
