Hip Chick Cleaning Her Bathroom

With all of the new cleaning products available to us, coupled with a new sense of environmental awareness regarding pollutants, it can be confusing to know exactly the tools we need in our cleaning toolbox. We want to make sure our homes are sterile of harmful bacteria and germs, so we purchase the strongest and harshest chemicals. But at the same time, we need to keep it a non-toxic, breathable environment for our families... so what are the alternatives?

Most of us clean as our mothers taught us. There is wisdom to be found in what is passed down through the generations, but unless your mother was named Martha Stewart, you MIGHT be doing things incorrectly.

For example, my girlfriend Bethany (a very hip homemaker herself, I might add!) recently pointed out that it seemed the obvious way to clean her Pergo floors would be with standard floor cleaner. She found out recently through a bit of research that the floor cleaner only added a dull film to her floors. Switching to the correct method (washing with warm water only), gave her Pergo floors an attractive shine! (For the record, I don't think I was cleaning my Pergo floors properly either!)

That is the reason we are here: We are here to help you optimize your cleaning techniques to give your home a shine that will make you proud!

In the following paragraphs, you will find tons of tried and true tips on how to clean your home. Click and see if there is perhaps some small nugget of information that you can add to your cleaning repertoire!
