Picking Out the Right Christmas Tree for Your Family

Pros to choosing an artificial/fake tree:

  • -Much safer and typically fire proof
  • -LESS MAINTENANCE
  • -Needles don't fall off and become a choking hazard to children and animals
  • -A one-time expense
  • -Modern trees look so life-like, not like they did when we were kids!
  • -You don't have to worry about disposing of it afterwards
  • -Some people are allergic to the tree pollen
  • -No sticky sap to deal with
  • -You can purchase them pre-lit or pre-flocked

If you decide to purchase an artificial tree we recommend purchasing through eBay to recycle, instead of buying new! Plus, you're more likely to find a MUCH CHEAPER deal than you would in a retail store!

Below you will find some wonderful choices in the latest auctions:

Pros to Choosing a Real Tree:

  • Most environmentally sound, especially if you buy a live tree that you can plant later!
  • -Traditional and heartwarming
  • -Smell... who doesn't love the smell of a fresh pine tree?
  • -Picking it out is a wonderful family event
  • -Buying a live tree (with root ball intact) will give you a tree that you can plant outside to commemorate that particular Christmas (Such as your first Christmas together, or baby's first Christmas)
  • -You can have it turned into mulch for your gardens
  • -You can have it for firewood once it dries out
