Bacon Pull-Apart Bread

bacon pull apart bread

Ingredients:

1 loaf frozen bread dough (thawed)
12 strips of bacon (diced)
2 Tablespoon olive oil
1 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese
1 envelope ranch dressing mix

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

In a pan cook bacon over medium heat until half-cooked, about 5 to 7 minutes. (Bacon is half-cooked so that it doesn't overcook in the oven later.) Drain bacon on a paper towel and cut into bite-sized pieces.

Roll out bread dough on a floured surface to 1/2 inch thickness and cut into 1-inch pieces. Place into a large bowl. Add bacon, cheese, Ranch dressing mix and olive oil. Toss until just coated.

Arrange pieces in a 9 X 5 inch oval on a greased baking sheet, stack as needed. Cover and let rise in a warm place for 30 minutes or until doubled.

Bake for 20 minutes. Cover with foil and bake 5 to 10 minutes longer or until golden brown and the center is no longer doughy.
